Its often proclaimed that God is doing a “new thing” today in the form of a “Third Wave of the Holy Spirit” currently flooding the Church, allegedly bringing powerful signs and wonders as well as the restoration of the prophetic/apostolic office. The Church is predicted to be entering “new levels of anointing” that will transform her into the “warrior Bride”, readying the world for the return of Christ. Sounds great doesn’t it? But how much does it line up with the truth of God’s word, the Bible, concerning what we should expect in the last days? How well do the leaders and so-called restored apostolic voices conform to a love of the truth of God’s already revealed faith. Do we really need a “restoration” in the church of this type of doctrine? Is there a chance that much of this is a returning resurgence of old false doctrines?
Regardless of how widespread and accepted the Third Wave has become today, we must be discerning and know the roots and future route this movement and its leaders are coming from and heading towards. This section is a“red-sky warning” (Matt.16:1-4) for biblical Christians to defend the faith against such a swelling tide of heresy. Use these articles to CLARIFY and EDIFY.
