In conclusion let me just say that there is ample evidence
that, although CE National isn’t “emerging” or “emergent:, there seems to be
far too much compromise going on with these areas and issues. In their desire
to see young folks reached, taught, and released they are willing to feature
speakers and mentors who have EC fondness. CE National is apparently willing to
introduce some of these dangerous teachings to any who visit their lending
library and of course send people to sites like Youth Specialties and continue
the Purpose Driven paradigm.
All I am left with is a burden which I believe is based on
God’s Word concerning the compromise and the eventual judgment that may befall
many who will not stand today in the face of the EC compromise. At this point,
I will await and watch future developments concerning CE National. Under no
circumstances would I send anyone to the Driven conferences and I have to sadly
say that I don’t think we should continue to promote these Momentums and
various other activities until we are given some answers concerning these
issues raised. I know that sounds alarmist and it is not a formal
call for a boycott but an exhortation to approach CE National and ask the
necessary questions about the concerns raised here.
The leadership of CE National needs to know our concerns and
it is my prayer that others will be moved to contact them and share their voice
on these matters. It is our Christian duty to be discerning and speak the truth
in love. That sometimes involves a loving rebuke with the hopes of turning
someone from the dangerous path of error and in CE National’s case, protecting
the many young people that they are seeking to instruct and nurture in the
faith.
I do not doubt that that is wholeheartedly what they want to
be doing and in many cases are doing, but I cannot ignore the cautionary conviction
and the red flags that are raised when we consider many of the teachings in the
church today.
Contact me anytime and don’t get mad at this expose:
“Do not rebuke a mocker or
he will hate you; rebuke a wise man and he will love you. Instruct a wise man
and he will be wiser still; teach a righteous man and he will add to his
learning. “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of
the Holy One is understanding.”
