Power To Stand Ministries believes in the following matters of Christian Faith and practice:
THE BIBLE:
The Word of God. The sixty-six Books of the Old and New Testaments are verbally inspired in all parts and wholly without error in the original writings as given of God. (II Tim.3: 16) We Believe the Bible to be infallible, authoritative, inerrant, and all sufficient (2 Timothy 3:15-17, 2 Peter 1:21). The Bible is the only basis for true doctrine.
THE ONE TRUE GOD:
Exists eternally as three persons - the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1, Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19, John 10:30).
THE LORD JESUS CHRIST:
His preexistence and deity (Jn.1: 1-3, Jn. 10:33), incarnation by virgin birth (Jn. 1:14, Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23, Luke 1:34-35), sinless life (Heb.4: 15, 7:26), working of miracles (Jn. 2:11), substitutionary death (ii Cor. 5:21, 15:3; Eph. 1:7, Heb. 2:9), bodily resurrection (Lk24: 36-43, Luke 11:25, 1 Cor. 15:4), ascension into Heaven & present ministry (Mark 16:19; Heb.4: 14-16), and His personal, imminent, and premillenial return to Earth to establish His Kingdom in power and glory (Acts 1:11, Revelation 19:11-16).
THE HOLY SPIRIT:
His personality (Jn.16-7-15), His work in each believer, baptism and indwelling at the moment of regeneration (I Cor.12: 13;Rom.8: 9) and filling (Eph.5: 18). We Believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life (Romans 8:13-14, 1 Corinthians 3:16; 6:19-20, Ephesians 4:30; 5:18).
MAN:
His direct creation in the image of God and his fall into sin resulting in spiritual death and necessity of the new birth for his salvation (Gen. 1:26-28;Rom.5: 12;Jn.3: 3-5).
SALVATION:
A complete and eternal salvation by God's grace alone, received as the gift of God through personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ (Eph.2: 8-9;Titus 3:5-7;I Pet.1: 18-19). ( The Gospel)We Believe in the absolute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation because of the exceeding sinfulness of human nature, and that all are justified on the single ground of faith in the shed blood of Christ, and that only by God's grace, through faith alone, are we saved (John 3:16-19; 5:24, Romans 3:23; 5:8-9, Ephesians 2:8-10, Titus 3:5). We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of the life, and they that are not into the resurrection of damnation (John 5:28-29). THE CHURCH:
There is one true church, the body and bride of Christ, composed of all true believers of the present age (Eph.1: 22-23;I Cor.12: 12-13). We Believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 8:9, (1 Corinthians 12:12-13, Galatians 3:26-28).
ISRAEL:
God has special programs and plans for the Nation of Israel as well, to be fulfilled according to His sovereign timing.(www.moriel.org/usa_about.htm , www.ariel.org/index.htm )
CHRISTIAN LIFE:
A life of righteousness, good works and separation unto God from the evil ways of the world (Rom.12: 11-12).
ORDINANCES:
The Christian should observe the ordinances of our Lord Jesus Christ, which are:
Baptism of believers by immersion (Matt. 28:19)
Holy communion (I Cor. 11:23-26).
SATAN:
His existence and personality as the great adversary of God and His people (Rev.12:1-10, his judgment and final doom(Jn.12:31;Rev.20:10).
SECOND COMING:
The personal, visible return of Christ to remove His church from the earth (Rapture) (I Thess.4: 16-17) before the Tribulation and afterward to descend with the church to establish His millennial kingdom upon the earth (Rev.19: 11-20:6).
FUTURE LIFE:
The conscious existence of the dead (Phil.1: 21-23, the resurrection of the body, the judgment and reward of believers and the judgment and condemnation of unbelievers (Rev.20: 11-15), and the eternal life of the saved (John 3:16).

PTS has articles from a variety of Christian ministries and teachers in the Church today. While all would hold to the "Essentials" of the Historic Christian Faith, there is some difference of belief in certain areas such as the charismatic gifts, eternal security, and certain views concerning the ordinances (mode of baptism, foot-washing, etc.). This diversity is acceptable as long as it does not infringe or undermine the essential doctrines of scripture, and if the position is biblically defensible by reasonable exegesis. Differences of opinion exist in the "non-essential" arena, but PTS strives to maintain doctrinal integrity and allegiance to the authority of the Scriptures in every facet of this ministry.
